“Ten minutes, fifteen, tops. No violence, just in and out.” Netflix has revealed a trailer for a Swedish crime thriller mystery series called The Helicopter Heist, based on an actual true story. Arriving for streaming in November. A helicopter lands on the roof of Sweden’s safest cash depot and the police can only watch as the robbers disappear along with several million. Not a single shot is fired. The series tells the story of the meticulous planning and secret drama behind this heist. The Helicopter Heist is a reality-based & character-driven suspense series about the drama behind one of the most spectacular heists – a grand & fast paced Icarus tale about winning, or losing, it all. Based on true events, The Helicopter Heist tells the story of the meticulous planning, ingenuity and nerve that went into pulling it off. Going far beyond anything previously told about this notorious event, we get to see how it might have happened with the criminals. The series stars Mahmut Suvakci, Ardalan Esmaili, Iskra Kostic, Dejan Milacic, Erik Svedberg-Zelman, Vic Carmen Sonne, Johanna Hedberg, and Wim Elfwencrona. This looks like it would pair well with the Swedish series “Clark” about the bank robbery that coined the term “Stockholm Syndrome”. Get a look.
