Pink cocaine is a powerful drug that is a combination of ketamine, methamphetamine, MDMA, opioids and psychoactive substances, according to the National Institutes of Health.

An unnamed source told the publication the singer also had cocaine and crack in his system. An improvised aluminium pipe, often used as a method to use the drugs, was also found in his hotel room.

Liam Payne’s toxicology report showed the singer was under the influence of multiple drugs at the time of his death, according to a bombshell report initially filed by US ABC News.

The star is believed to have trashed his hotel room, with the TV and his laptop both found smashed following his death, and audio obtained from the Buenos Aires security ministry revealing staff were worried about his safety.

Payne’s body will remain in Argentina until a full autopsy has been completed.

On Tuesday, Europe correspondent Joel Dry, spoke on Sunrise about the bombshell report.

“(It) tells us that clearly Liam Payne was under the influence of the mixture of drugs at the time of his death,” Dry said.

“Those substances included a drug known as pink cocaine, which is a recreational drug, typically a mix of many substances, including methamphetamine, ketamine, MDMA, and others.

“Also mentioned in the toxicology report were traces of cocaine, benzodiazepine and crack. That cocktail is enough to cause serious intoxication which presents the very real possibility that Liam’s death was accidental, although suicide is being considered.

“Right now, his dad, Geoff Payne, is in Argentina. He wanted to be there to see the scene of the hotel where his son lost his life.”

The singer’s death has sparked an investigation into how he got the drugs with a cleaner and another staff member accused of smuggling drugs, believed to have been hidden in a Dove soap box, into Payne’s room.

“Liam was doing everything to stay clean, but as soon as he got to the hotel these people were offering him alcohol and drugs,” a close friend told the Daily Mail.

Taxis were allegedly sent from the hotel to pick up drugs and, after Payne’s death, one taxi was reportedly sent to the house of the hotel cleaner, who was fired when he was unable to explain to the hotel manager why the taxi had arrived at his house, it reported.
