Packers’ Josh Myers Carted Off Field After Suffering Apparent Leg Injury

The Green Bay Packers have suffered yet another injury during their Wild Card matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Center Josh Myers has been carted off the field after suffering an apparent leg injury. He was later seen being helped through the locker room.

Four other Green Bay players have left the game early due to injury: wide receiver Jayden Reed, wide receiver Romeo Doubs, left guard Elgton Jenkins, and defensive lineman Devonte Wyatt.

Philadelphia also had a significant injury, with linebacker Nakobe Dean leaving the game in the first half with a knee injury.

In the end, the Packers wound up losing to the Eagles 22-10.

While it seemed like the game was close, Philadelphia led and maintained control for the majority of the game.

Green Bay’s sole touchdown came from running back Josh Jacobs, who rushed 18 times for 81 yards.

While Packers quarterback Jordan Love threw for 212 yards, he also threw for three interceptions.

Meanwhile, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts only threw for 131 yards but was able to make big plays and connected for two touchdowns with tight end Dallas Goedert and wide receiver Jahan Dotson.

The final lynchpin for Philadelphia’s victory was running back Saquon Barkley, who rushed 25 times for 119 yards.

Myers played as the backup center for Ohio State as a red-shirt freshman in 2017. He would soon become the starter and stick with the Buckeyes until 2020.

During his time at Ohio State, Myers was named second-team All-Big Ten (2019), first-team Al-Big Ten (2020), and second-team All-American (2020).

In the 2021 NFL Draft, Myers was selected by Green Bay in the second round with the 62nd overall pick.

In his rookie season with the Packers, Myers was named as the starting center. Unfortunately, he entered injured reserve on Oct. 23, 2021, after suffering a knee injury. He would be recalled from IR on Jan. 8, 2022.

Since then, Myers has remained the starting center for Green Bay. He has started a total of 56 regular season games and a total of 3,481 snaps.
