Paramount Pictures has revealed another fun behind-the-scenes featurette for Ridley Scott’s Gladiator II, his long-awaited sequel to the Oscar-winning classic Gladiator from 2000. This promo video focuses on the fight scenes and physical training of all the gladiator actors & stuntmen. This epic sequel is a direct continuation – it follows Lucius, the son of Maximus’s love Lucilla, after Maximus’s death, who also works his way up in the Colosseum as well. A new legacy of rebellion will begin… This highly anticipated Ancient Rome sequel stars Paul Mescal as Lucius, Denzel Washington as Macrinus, Pedro Pascal as Emperoro Marcus Acacius, Connie Nielsen as Lucilla, plus Joseph Quinn, Fred Hechinger, Lior Raz, Peter Mensah, & Derek Jacobi. This is an even better behind-the-scenes featurette than the other one posted recently, as it features even more glimpses at all the incredible work and people involved in pulling off a massive cinematic epic like this. I’m glad they put so much effort & energy into making this rock! Excited to watch in theaters soon.
