What will it take to stop a bloodthirsty villain? A bounty hunter searches for an infamous killer in “The Thicket.” The film sees Reginald Jones, a formidable tracker, tasked with retrieving Cutthroat Bill. Jones isn’t alone for long though as he enlists a few intriguing characters to help him. They’re about to face a life-and-death struggle in an unforgiving setting. ‘Thicket’ is based on the novel by Joe R. Lansdale, with a script by writer Chris Kelley. The project hails from filmmaker Elliott Lester — his previous directorial efforts include episodes of “Will” and “Containment.” Lester has also helmed music videos for artists such as Avril Lavigne.

Peter Dinklage stars as Richard Jones, a bounty hunter facing a seemingly impossible pursuit. Juliette Lewis portrays Jones’ target, Cutthroat Bill. The actress appeared on two seasons of the popular Showtime series “Yellowjackets.” Esmé Creed-Miles, Levon Hawke, Macon Blair, Andrew Schulz, James Hetfield, David Midthunder, Arliss Howard, Leslie Grace, and Gbenga Akinnagbe round out the cast.
The film’s official synopsis:
“When fierce bounty hunter Reginald Jones (Peter Dinklage) is recruited by a desperate man to track down a ruthless killer known only as Cutthroat Bill (Juliette Lewis), he rallies a band of unlikely heroes including a grave-digging ex-slave and a street-smart woman-for-hire. Together they embark on a perilous quest to track down Cutthroat Bill that leads them into the deadly “no-man’s-land” known as…The Thicket.”
