Paris Saint-Germain striker Randal Kolo Muani has previously outlined his “dream” of playing in the Premier League amid speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United.

The January transfer window opened for business on Wednesday, and United are in desperate need of reinforcements as they look to try and shake off the threat of relegation.

However, United have said that there is “no money” available to strengthen Ruben Amorim’s squad this month, meaning their only hope of being able to bring in new faces is via player sales. Marcus Rashford is being heavily linked with an exit and is one of the club’s most sellable assets.

The prospect of him being moved on could open up a window of opportunity for United to add to their squad, with the left wing-back and centre-forward positions being identified as areas that could do with upgrading. United have struggled for goals so far this term, scoring just 21 times in the Premier League.

Just as United did in 2020 and 2023, it is not beyond the realms of possibility that they may swoop for a striker on loan. Amid that growing possibility, Frenchman Kolo Muani is being linked with a move to Old Trafford.

The 26-year-old was heavily linked with a move to United ahead of joining PSG in 2023. He was on the books of Eintracht Frankfurt prior to his move to the French capital and was a name heavily linked with M16 as United searched for a striker ahead of the 2023/24 season.

However, his time at PSG has not gone according to plan, yielding just 11 goals in 54 appearances. As a result, he is being linked with an exit this month.

And he has already made no secret of his desire to one day experience life in the Premier League.

Speaking ahead of his move to PSG, he said: “Honestly, who doesn’t dream of playing in the Premier League? It’s one of the best leagues that exists.

“You dream about it. These are childhood dreams.”

In addition, Kolo Muani also addressed the importance of moving to a club that will afford him minutes and give him the best possible chance of developing.

He added: “I’m not searching for the perfect club or the best club in the world. I’m really looking for the club that will give me the chance to be able to express myself, to earn game time and most importantly allow me to grow.”
