Ochai Agbaji is set to return to the team’s lineup for a road tilt against the Detroit Pistons on Saturday after a one-game absence due to a left hip pointer injury, head coach Darko Rajakovic told reporters.
Thursday’s loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers was just Agbaji’s first game missed of the season. His 37, soon to be 38, appearances for Toronto lead the team this year.
Agbaji is averaging 10.8 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists while shooting 40.4 per cent from beyond the arc in 29.5 minutes per game — all of which are career highs.
With the third-year wing back in the lineup, none of the Raptors’ regular rotation players will be out of action as the team tries to snap a four-game skid in Detroit.
Toronto will be missing two-ways A.J. Lawson, Jamison Battle and Ulrich Chomche, along with Jonathan Mogbo and Eugene Omoruyi who are on assignment with the Raptors 905 in Maine.
