Melbourne Renegades rising star Millie Illingsworth has gone viral for a cheeky gesture during Thursday night’s WBBL clash against the Perth Scorchers.
The hilarious incident unfolded with the Renegades struggling at 2-11 in response to the Scorchers’ meagre total of 108.

Regular No.4 batter Emma De Broughe would normally have been at the crease, but she limped off with an ankle injury during the Scorchers’ innings.
As commentators discussed whether she would be able to bat at all, the camera person zoomed in on two bare feet on the Renegades bench.
With a left ankle heavily taped, it was thought that the feet belonged to De Broughe.
“Triding to hide it,” Channel 7 commentator Alister Nicholson said.
But as the camera panned out, it was revealed to be Illingsworth, who gestured to the camera person.
The fast bowler had earlier taken 2-15 and wasn’t due to bat until later in the innings.
“No, that’s Milly Illingsworth,” Nicholson quickly said, realising the mistake.
“Sorry Milly,” Lisa Sthalekar added.
Justin Langer then speculated about the bruise on the Illingsworth’s toenail.
“One of the perils of being a fast bowler, I am told. Not that I’ve ever had a bruised toenail in my life,” he said.
Cameras then flashed back on Illingsworth, who cheekily flashed the money sign with her hands.
The entire bench immediately cracked up in laughter.
Without knowing for sure exactly what she meant, it seemed likely she was referencing the recent phenomenon where people can make money for selling pictures of their feet.
Sthalekar said it was “gold” before wondering how the teenager would know about that.
“How do you even know about that Milly? That’s what I’m concerned about.”
The hilarious clip finished with Illingsworth throwing a “side eye” at the cameras, which drew more laughs.
An edited version of the clip was picked up by social media creator Alex Malcolm (legendofmartybanks), whose post on Instagram has racked up over 90,000 likes.
Illingsworth did eventually put her socks and shoes back on when she went out to bat.
Unfortunately, she only made five as the Renagades fell two runs short of the Scorchers.
But while they fell short on Thursday night, they were back on the winner’s list on Saturday.
Local replacement player Charis Bekker went from the pub to centre stage as the Renegades posted a 15-run win over arch rivals the Melbourne Stars.
Chasing 147 for victory in Saturday’s match at the Junction Oval, the Stars were restricted to 9-131.
All six of the Renegades’ bowlers, including Illingsworth, picked up a single wicket, with the Stars suffering three run-outs as well.
Bekker was playing just her second WBBL game after being called into the squad to replace injured spinner Sophie Molineux (knee).
The 20-year-old didn’t let the big stage of a Melbourne derby faze her, returning the miserly figures of 1-9 from her four overs to be named player of the match.
Bekker’s maiden WBBL wicket was none other than superstar batter Meg Lanning (22 off 21 balls).
