Report: Bucks’ Middleton recovering from ankle surgeries

Milwaukee Bucks forward Khris Middleton is going to be busy with rehab this off-season.

The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported Wednesday that Middleton had arthroscopic surgeries on both ankles this off-season and has already begun his recovery process.

Charania also reported that the three-time All-Star is expected to be ready for the start of the NBA regular season.

Middleton hurt his left ankle in February, then suffered a right ankle sprain in Game 2 of Milwaukee’s first-round series against the Pacers.

The 32-year-old has had trouble staying on the floor for the Bucks recently, as he appeared in just 88 games over the past two seasons.

But with no Giannis Antetokounmpo in the playoffs this year, Middleton returned to his All-Star form as he averaged 24.7 points, 9.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists before the Bucks were eliminated by the Pacers in six games.
