After going winless in conference games this season, Oklahoma State is looking to save money on Mike Gundy’s contract by getting him to accept a restructured deal.
Per ESPN’s Chris Low, there is “growing optimism” that Gundy and Oklahoma State will come to terms on a new contract.
ESPN’s Pete Thamel noted the two sides had meetings on Friday and school has asked Gundy to take a “significant pay cut” that would also reduce his buyout, which is currently around $25 million.
