Ronaldo is now targeting the landmark of 900 goals and is also planning to reach the incredible milestone of 1,000.
Fifa state that Pele scored 1,281 goals, but the Brazil legend featured prominently in exhibition and amateur matches, with his official tally standing at 762.

‘It’s the best marker I can have in football. There will be one difference: all of my goals have videos, so I can prove that.’
Ferdinand then burst out laughing as he said: ‘You’re a b*****d. You’re talking about Alfredo Di Stefano, Pele, Eusebio.’
