“Whoever controls it, controls life and death. And those deaths… are really F’d up.” Neon has unveiled the creepy new teaser trailer for The Monkey, the next Oz Perkins horror film arriving in a few more months (Feb 2025). After Longlegs this year, get ready for more insanely scary horror from Perkins! Based on the super freaky clapping monkey toy as well as Stephen King’s short story of the same name. “Everybody dies.” Produced by James Wan, written & directed Perkins, The Monkey is a story about two brothers. The siblings decide to throw the monkey toy away after it starts killing, and try to move on with their lives, growing apart over the years… Starring Theo James as both bothers Bill & Hall, with Tatiana Maslany, Elijah Wood, Christian Convery, Colin O’Brien, Rohan Campbell, and Sarah Levy. This is such a kooky fun teaser for what seems to be an absolutely horrifying movie. A wicked combo of humor & horror. A must see trailer.
