SHOPPERS are only now realising that M&S Christmas desserts are back.
The range includes a viral ginger cheesecake that was very popular with Brits – and they’re excited to taste the sweet treat again this Christmas.
M&S announced on Facebook yesterday that their fan favourite cake is back in the Foodhall section of one particular store.
The post describes the desert as “Creamy, biscuity and finished with the cutest decorations, our baked ginger and caramel cheesecake sits on a ginger digestive biscuit base and is topped with white chocolate mousse.”
The retailer has handed the spoon to their expert chefs to bring those with a sweet tooth a cake that will be perfect for the Christmas table.
But, the delicious treat is only available in-store at M&S Gloucester at the Eastgate Shopping Centre.
The cake was the branch’s most successful social media post last Christmas, suggesting that people might be willing to make the journey to the desert.
M&S Gloucester also features an assortment of other handmade cakes, including a chocolate torte, chocolate pine cones and a sticky toffee pudding trifle.
All these tasty desserts are in the store now, so those who want plenty of choices for after Christmas dinner should get down to the Gloucester branch as soon as possible in time for the holidays.
DANCING SHOES AT M&S
Those wanting shoes perfect for dancing the night away this Christmas can go to M&S for their next purchase.
The Sun has reported on their Sparkle Kitten Heel Slingback Shoes – which have been dubbed ‘fabulous’ and the ‘best purchase of the year’ by shoppers online.
The M&S Collection shoes come in three colours: Black Mix, Opaline Mix and Dark Red – although you’ll have to be quick if you’re keen to get your hands on a pair, as the latter two colourways are already out of stock online.
The retailer says: “These sparkly shoes are made to shine on the dance floor.
“They have a mid-height kitten heel and a secure slingback design with an adjustable buckle fastening.
“A pointed toe brings a sophisticated feel.”
The shoes are a regular fit in a slip-on style, ideal for festive evenings out.
They are priced at a very reasonable £39.50.
And reviews on the Marks and Spencer website were glowing with praise for the kitten heels.
Christmas Fashion Tips from an Expert
CLEMMIE Fieldsend, Fashion Editor at Fabulous, has shared her top tips for looking fabulous this Christmas.
AVOID: Christmas jumpers
No longer a novelty gag, they’re now gone back to being naff and have no place at a festive party.
By all means, go all in for Christmas Jumper Day for Save The Children, but never wear it before or after that day.
WEAR: Burgundy
You can’t escape burgundy at this time of year and it’s a luxury, deep and rich colour that is a welcome break from Santa-red at Christmas.
Opt for silky textures or velvet for extra style points.
AVOID: PJs
The trend of feather trimmed co-ords has had its day and is so dated.
Don’t pull out your hair plucked pair this year, and don’t get a new set, instead still go for the satin two-piece but just steer clear of the plumes.
WEAR: Sequin Dress
Try to switch up sequins slightly by wearing them with a different texture or colour, eg a sequin skirt with a sleek knit.
But when you’re really stuck on what to wear reach for the sequins, it is Christmas after all.
AVOID: Sequin blazer
Nothing worse than showing up to a festive do looking like the hired entertainment.
Leave the sequin blazer to magicians and Strictly judges, instead always reach for a classic tux style or velvet.
WEAR: Bling trousers
Last party season embellished jeans with diamante bling had a moment, and this year they’re going to be as much of a hit.
If you don’t want gemstones pinging off wherever you go then try metallic, PU trousers.
One reviewer gave them a five star rating and said: “Fabulous shoes! I needed some shoes for a Christmas wedding and these fitted the bill exactly!”
And someone else, who had also rated them five stars, described them as ‘the perfect Christmas slingback’, saying: “This shoe dresses up your ‘jeans and a nice top outfit’.
“They’re extremely comfortable and a huge bonus is that the back doesn’t slip down!
“I’ve worn these shoes with many different outfits, getting compliments each time!”
