“Sickening”: Kevin Durant Scoffs at Joel Embiid & Steph Curry’s Embarrassing Inability as Team USA Media Day Gets Chirpy

Team USA has a huge task in front of them. It’s the national duty to seek redemption for the 2023 FIBA WC embarrassment. LeBron James & Co. assembled in Las Vegas for an intense training camp before they made their way to the big stage. While every single player on the team has made their mark on the NBA, Stephen Curry, Joel Embiid and Tyrese Haliburton still failed to impress Kevin Durant. Especially for their embarrassing inability with the ball.

After covering Team USA’s media day, the NBA dropped a video on its official social media. The video goes around players, asking an important question: Do you know how to spin a ball on your finger? Steph, who clearly didn’t expect the question coming his way, said, “I can do a lot of things with the basketball. That is the one thing that I cannot do.” Following him, everyone spun the ball except for Joel Embiid and Tyrese Haliburton.

Kevin Durant, who believed that all his teammates could do it, didn’t seem to be impressed with the three odd ones. Reacting to Haliburton’s inability, KD scoffed and said, “Hali? At the point guard don’t know how to do it?” Importantly, reacting to Embiid’s inability, Durant said, “That’s sickening. I thought he had more coordination than that.” 

Finally, Steph gave in to his inability to spin the ball and said, “That’s one of the most embarrassing things of just me.”
