“What have you been looking for? What have you found?” A24 has revealed the third trailer for the horror movie Heretic, from the filmmaker duo known as Beck/Woods (also of Her Summer, Spread, Nightlight, Haunt, dino movie 65). This recently premiered at the 2024 Toronto Film Festivals to many positive reviews (which are quoted in here), and it will open in theaters early this November. “A wickedly entertaining twist on holy horror starring a never-better Hugh Grant.” When two Mormon missionaries knock on a door and attempt to convert a man, it turns out to be far more dangerous than they could have anticipated, as he traps them in a maze within his home. Heretic stars Hugh Grant, Sophie Thatcher, and Chloe East – that’s it. This looks SO good. I need to find out what is going on, why he’s toying with them, what his reason is, etc. The best trailer yet out of the three released by A24. Don’t skip this one when it hits theaters in November.
