What The Stranger Things BTS Video Means For Season 5

The Show’s Attention To Detail Has Not Wavered

Admittedly, the video itself does not reveal many new details about season 5. The tour features plenty of Easter eggs for Stranger Things‘ early seasons, such as the pink dress Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) wears in season 1 and the letter Hopper (David Harbour) writes to Eleven in season 3. Eagle-eyed fans will likely search for any props or costumes that look brand new, but the video is careful to keep things to the past. In a way, though, that’s fitting, seeing as season 5 will close out the show. A little nostalgia at the end isn’t a bad thing.

Season 5 will feature its own set of props, costumes, and Upside Down vines, and they too will likely become as iconic as the pieces featured in the video.

If anything, this indicates that Stranger Things‘ attention to detail hasn’t wavered. By highlighting the various creative departments in the lead-up to season 5, Netflix is putting a spotlight on how much work has already gone into the series, and that sends a message that this will continue right up until the end. Season 5 will feature its own set of props, costumes, and Upside Down vines, and they too will likely become as iconic as the pieces featured in the video. It’s fun to imagine what those will be.

The Show’s Creative Team Deserves Immense Praise

Across its four seasons, Stranger Things‘ epic scale has always been impressive to behold, and this video really emphasizes how every member of the creative team deserves special praise. For example, as McLaughlin mentions, the level of detail went so deep that, in developing the costumes for season 1, the designers asked the actors about their characters’ favorite colors.
