Survival Ascended Dinos Are Exclusive To The Center?

In Ark: Survival Ascended, there is a new non-cannon but official map added to the game known as The Center. The map was officially added after being a mod for a fair amount of time but is now a free DLC for both PC and Xbox One. There are a fair amount of dinosaurs available in this region, and it is considered to have a difficulty of 5, meaning that any exclusive dinosaurs to this region could be hard to capture.

There are already a fair amount of dinosaurs in Ark: Survival Ascended, but occasionally there are dinosaurs that are exclusive to various versions of the map. With The Center being added, players will want to know if there are any exclusive dinosaurs to this version of the map as well. There is a lot of new territory to explore and many dinosaurs to find, so knowing where the exclusive ones are is quite important.

Shastasaurus Is The Only Exclusive Dino To The Center For Now

The Lone Exclusive Dinosaur

As of now, the Shastasaurus is the only dinosaur that players can only find in The Center, both of which can be seen in the trailer from Ark: Survival Ascended. It is an aquatic Shastasaurus, which was voted on as the 7th winner of the Ark Creature poll. It can only be gained from The Center DLC, but it is also a Carnivore.

As an aquatic creature, it can only be tamed by getting an Ichthyosaurus and riding it to get close to a Shastasaurus on The Center map in Ark: Survival Ascended. Then it will have to be brought to the surface and cleared of leeches and fed, whereupon it can be tamed and eventually brought into the player’s care.

Pyromane Is DLC, But Not Exclusive To The Center’s Map

Pyromane Can Be Found Elsewhere

Unlike the rest of the Center DLC in Ark: Survival Ascended, the Pyromane is a paid add-on to the game that was released at the same time as The Center map. It will spawn in the Center Map, but it is not exclusive to it. Instead, the Pyromane will also appear in the Scorched Earth map. However, players should take caution when approaching the Pyromane as it is an aggressive carnivore.

Luckily, it still can be tamed, ridden, and bred, so players will eventually want to find it. When they do, players will want to lead it to a body of water to put out the flames so that they can ride it and thereby tame it. Aptly, players will have to use the Pyromane’s Flame Absorb attack against other creatures in order to fully bring it under their care. While it can be found elsewhere, the Pyromane will be easier for players to catch in The Center DLC for Ark: Survival Ascended.
