Swastika Flags Flown During Donald Trump Boat Parade in Florida

A boat bearing swastika symbols and Donald Trump flags was hosed down after trying to join a Trump boat parade in Jupiter, Florida.

The boat was photographed attempting to take part in the parade on Sunday in the Republican presidential candidate’s home county of Palm Beach.

One onlooker, Lesley Abravnel, posted on social platform X at 1:49 p.m. eastern time: “Near Palm Beach right now. All Nazis are Trump voters. Sickening.” Abravnel, who has 70,000 followers and supports Kamala Harris, posted two pictures of five people on board a boat with Nazi flags.

Newsweek has contacted the Trump campaign via email for comment.

Abravnel’s pictures show two bearded men wearing sunglasses and three other men wearing face coverings on board the boat. One of the men on board appeared to be holding an image of Mike Lindell, CEO of the My Pillow company. Lindell, who is a well-known Trump supporter, recently hit back against claims that his product pricing was inadvertently linked to neo-Nazi propaganda.

Abravnel’s post had been viewed over 1.1 million times by Monday morning.

Commenting on the post, advocacy group StopAntismemitism wrote that the person at the front of the boat is “known antisemite Jon Minadeo II” and “his cronies from the GDL (Goyim Defense League),” a neo-Nazi group classified as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Minadeo has a history of neo-Nazi-related stunts, including being arrested in Poland for sharing far-right propaganda at the gates of Auschwitz.

Newsweek was unable to independently verify at the time of publication whether Minadeo or other members of the GDL were on the boat. Newsweek has contacted GoyimTV (the GDL’s video website), StopAntisemitism and the Anti-Defamation League via email for comment. Newsweek contacted the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s office via phone and Minadeo via an online form on his fundraising page for clarification.

On X, user @majorTrulz32, a self-described “MAGA” advocate (based on Trump’s 2016 campaign slogan, “Make American Great Again”) who was at the boat parade, denied the people on the boat were neo-Nazis or Trump supporters. They wrote: “I was in the parade today. Just like on J6 [January 6], those are not Trump supporters. They were antifa scumbag imposters and were treated accordingly as you’ll see in the video.” Antifa is a term for far-left groups that resist facists and neo-Nazis.

The user then posted a video of Trump supporters on a different boat using its engine to splash the boat bearing the swastikas with water. The people on the boat with the swastika flags can be heard saying “Sieg heil, heil Trump.”

Newsweek was unable to independently verify at the time of publication whether the people on the boat were from the antifa movement. The user’s claim that antifa was behind the January 6 Capitol riots is false. The rioters were supporters of Trump.

Another X user, @TemosdnaH, posted a video apparently filmed on the boat bearing the swastika flags. It appeared to show people on the boat saying phrases combining Nazi and Trump slogans including “We gotta make America white again” and “Heil Trump.”

Trump’s niece, Mary L. Trump, a frequent critic of her uncle, reposted the pictures on X, writing: “What the f*** are we even doing?”
