Swifites, rejoice! Taylor Swift has just announced she is releasing her first-ever book.
The Official Eras Tour Book will commemorate the singer’s record-breaking Eras Tour—149 shows across five continents—which draws to a close in December.
But that’s not all. Swift also announced that for the first time since the album’s release in April, fans will be able to buy physical copies of The Tortured Poets Department (TTPD), on either vinyl or CD.
Swift announced the news on her social media sites Tuesday morning, with a post saying: “We’ll be kicking off the final leg of The Eras Tour this week, which is hard to comprehend. This tour has been the most wondrous experience, and I knew I wanted to commemorate the memories we made together in a special way.”
She went on: “Well, two ways actually. Excited to announce that The Official Eras Tour Book, filled with my own personal reflections, never-before-seen behind the scenes photos, all the magical memories you guys brought every single night AND …. The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology on vinyl and CD.”
The news was also announced on Good Morning America by host Lara Spencer.
What’s in the Eras Tour Book?
The book will include over 500 images, including never before seen photos of the tour, rehearsals, designer sketches and behind the scenes shots of the tour’s instruments, set pieces and costumes.
If that wasn’t enough, the book will also feature personal reflections from Swift herself.
On GMA, Spencer told fans the book would feature “stories and memories from Taylor herself about life on the road, making this what Taylor is calling ‘the official retrospective of the most wondrous tour of her life.'”
When Will the Book Be Released?
The Official Eras Tour Book and the physical copies of TTPD will drop exclusively at Target stores on Black Friday, November 29.
Both products will be available to buy online from the Target website on November 30.
In her social media posts, Swift also promised that “international info” about how to buy the new products would be “coming soon.”
Is This Really Swift’s First Book?
Yes! While there have been many unauthorized books about the singer’s life and her music, this will be the first official and authorized book from the singer.
How Much Will the Book and Album Cost?
The book will cost $39.99. The TTPD physical album will feature 35 tracks, including four bonus songs. The vinyl product will consist of four marbled translucent discs and will also include a never before seen 12- by 12-inch poster.
The vinyl version will cost $59.99, and the CD will be $17.99. International price information has yet to be released,
When Does the Eras Tour Resume?
The book news comes just as Swift is about to begin the final leg of the Eras Tour, which when finished will have encompassed 149 shows across five continents.
It is the highest-grossing tour of all time and the first-ever tour in history to gross $1 billion.
Swift also broke other records with the tour, including becoming the first artist to play at London’s Wembley Stadium eight times in a single tour.
Swift finished the European leg of her tour at Wembley in August, then took a two-month break. She will resume the tour on Friday in Miami.
The tour will end in Canada at the BC Place stadium in Vancouver on December 8.
