It’s almost time for the return of that unsettling, harmonised theme tune that you can’t get out of your head! Yes, Mike White’s much-loved murder-mystery show The White Lotus is back – and this time, it’s skewering the ultra-wealthy against the backdrop of a luxury resort in Thailand. There is, as ever, a totally stacked cast making up the ensemble of hotel guests, all surrounded by heat, hedonism – and we’re guessing a dead body shows up? Watch the teaser trailer below.
Looks like everything you want a new season of The White Lotus to be, right? We’ve got Natasha Rothwell as the only returning character, masseuse Belinda, on an exchange programme (with just a hint at some romance to come); Aimee Lou Wood and Walton Goggins as a perhaps-dysfunctional couple, looking for stress management and meditation; Parker Posey looking simply fabulous and talking about drinking herself to sleep; Jason Isaacs stumbling through the woods; and what looks like three sisters in Carrie Coon, Leslie Bibb and Michelle Monaghan. There’s dancing, depravity, ambulances, snakes, robberies, and more than one glimpse at a gun. “Something is off,” says Posey’s character, at one point. You bet it is – and we can’t wait to find out what.
