Trying to Escape a Forest Horror Thriller ‘Don’t Move’ Official Trailer

“You have about 20 minutes before you’re completely paralyzed.” Netflix has revealed an official trailer for an unsettling new real-time horror film titled Don’t Move, which is produced by maestro Sam Raimi. This 85-minute forest thriller will debut on Netflix at the end of October in time for Halloween. A woman alone in the forests of Big Sur must escape a serial killer with just 20 minutes left before her body fully shuts down. She is injected with a paralyzing medicine and must stumble, crawl, and pull her way out of hell. This seems insanely scary! The two directors Brian Netto and Adam Schindler state: “Every sequence we’re like, ‘OK, how do we make it tougher on her? How do you paint yourself into a corner? And then how do you get yourself out of that?'” Kelsey Asbille stars as Iris, in what should be a star-making role, along with Finn Wittrock, Moray Treadwell, and Daniel Francis. With Raimi helping them pull this off, this looks like an extraordinarily gripping horror creation. This trailer is even hard to watch without squirming! Be careful.

A grieving woman hoping to find solace deep in an isolated forest encounters a stranger who injects her with a paralytic agent. As it gradually takes over her body, she must run, hide, and fight for her life before her entire nervous system shuts down. At every turn, Iris is forced to navigate around a new, seemingly impossible obstacle, often with very little range of motion. Kelsey Asbille adds: “It’s a propulsive, stripped-down thriller that manages to feel very personal at times.” Don’t Move is directed by genre filmmakers Brian Netto & Adam Schindler (director of Intruders previously), making their first feature together after the short film Sundown (2022). The screenplay is written by T.J. Cimfel and David White. Produced by Zainab Azizi, Alex Lebovici, and Sam Raimi. This hasn’t premiered at any festivals or elsewhere, as far a we know. Netflix will debut Don’t Move streaming on Netflix worldwide starting October 25th, 2024 this fall.
