He’s the second member of his family to win the competition, as Kansas City Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce previously recorded the longest drive in 2022.
The elder Kelce was one of several current and former athletes participating during the practice round on Thursday before the event officially begins on Friday. Despite his retirement from the NFL in March, the 36-year-old seemed to be one of the most popular athletes on the course.
The three-round event will feature returning participants such as New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, NBA Hall of Fame forward Charles Barkley, and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen.
Kelce is also one of several new athletes that will be playing, including former 11-time MLB All-Star Albert Pujols and Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence.
The first round of the event will begin on Friday at 10:45 a.m. ET.
