Dāvis Bertāns could be headed to the Bay Area.
NBA insider Marc Stein reported that the 31-year-old had been “invited” to have a workout with the Golden State Warriors in order to secure a training camp invitation.

Bertāns’ agent Artūrs Kalnītis posted on Instagram that his client “will prepare for the upcoming season together” with the Warriors. Traded from OKC to Charlotte last season, Bertāns (31) is now in pursuit of a Golden State camp offer.

More NBA from me: <a href=” https://t.co/pPfl38AVFl
Bertāns split the 2023-24 season between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Charlotte Hornets. He averaged 6.7 points. 1.4 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 43 games in 2023-24, making one start.
He could potentially slot into a bench role for a Warriors team that will have a new look in 2024-25. Klay Thompson departed for the Dallas Mavericks in free agency, and former All-Star Chris Paul also left for the San Antonio Spurs.
The most notable add was Buddy Hield. who should slot into the core around Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Jonathan Kuminga. The Warriors went 46-36 and fell in the play-in tournament in 2023-24.
Bertāns would bring 45 games of playoff experience to the fold and could be a cheap asset for a team pressed up against the cap. However, he isn’t a game changer and is also running out of chances to play a role in the NBA.
