The 2024 NRL grand final between the Melbourne Storm and Penrith Panthers is the ultimate blockbuster – a rematch of the 2020 decider, the Panthers are aiming to secure a premiership ‘fourpeat’ against the minor premiers and their 2020 conquerors.

We’ve got all the information you need to watch the match on TV or live stream from your device, so you don’t miss any of the action from Accor Stadium.

With both teams having proceeded emphatically to an almost inevitable grand final clash, having dominated both their previous finals, the Storm are slight favourites for the clash, despite losing Nelson Asofa-Solomona to suspension.

How to live stream the NRL grand final online

As with all other games broadcast on Channel 9 this season, you will be able to watch the NRL grand final through their official streaming service, 9Now on any device that supports the app or has access to their website.

Simply open the app or head to the website, create a free account or sign in with your details, and begin watching the game at your leisure.

The usual Foxtel Go and Kayo streaming services will not be showing the grand final live, but they will both be showing replays in the hours following the final whistle.

Kayo subscribers will be able to watch replays of the big game on demand from 9:45pm (AEST), assuming the match has ended, and then continuously through the night and Sunday morning.

If you’re overseas and want to watch the game, Watch NRL is your best best. A grand final pass is available for $46 AUD, which gives you access to watch the game for a month (30 days) after signing up; while they also have season and finals options if you want to lock in all the action for the 2024 season as well.

How to watch the NRL grand final on TV
As always, Channel 9 is your only option to watch the grand final live on TV. Their coverage of the big day will begin at 11am (AEDT) and run through until the kick-off, aside from an hour for news and other programming between 5:30pm and 6:30pm (AEDT).

That includes the NRLW Grand Final between Sydney Roosters and Cronulla Sharks, as well as the State Championship between Queensland champions Norths Devils and NSW premiership winners Newtown Jets.

Following that, you can tune back in for all the pre-match entertainment – featuring The Kid Laroi – before it’s all systems go at 7:30pm (AEST).

As it is with your streaming options, Fox League will not be showing the grand final live on their channel. However, they will be providing their own wall-to-wall pre-match coverage of the big game. They will also be showing replays from 9:45pm (AEDT) as soon as the game ends.
