A guide to the best meat on the market as decided by Australian shoppers has been unveiled.
Canstar Blue dished out its Most Satisfied Customer Awards for supermarket cuts.
And for the first time ever, the home of bulk-buying could be the best place to grab a Christmas favourite.
In a survey of 3000 shoppers, Canstar Blue found more customers qwre cutting meat from their weekly shop.
It’s crunched the numbers on customer satisfaction, looking at value for money, taste and freshness, finding out which meat shoppers will fork out for.
Eden Radford from Canstar Blue said: “Aldi has taken out not one but four most satisfied customer awards for supermarket meat.”
When it comes to beef the big winner was Aldi.
Shoppers say its steak, sausages and burgers are best.
However, Costco took out the award for mince.
Looking at chicken, Coles was the overall winner.
But Aldi took out the cheaper cut like thighs and drumsticks.
And when it comes to crowd-favourite chicken breast, customers were crowing for Costco.
They also loved Aldi lamb, saying its cutlets, mince and roast were top-tier.
And while the German grocery giant also took out the fish category, when it comes to putting seafood on the table this summer, Costco came out top.
Australia’s unhealthiest states and territories revealed
“Customers just loved the range of seafood they could get, but on a budget, Radford said.
Canstar Blue also found more Aussies are breaking their meat buying habits, with 50 per cent of customers shopping around and just 15 per cent of them regularly buying the same kind and cut of meat.
