Shazam! cast member and discourse contributor Zachary Levi took exception to the idea that he has lost jobs recently due to his endorsement of convicted felon Donald Trump for President this year. The anti-vax actor appeared on Bill Maher‘s Club Random podcast, and rather than creating an insufferable singularity as one might expect, the two talked about Levi’s career in entertainment in the wake of his rare stance as a vocal conservative in Hollywood. When asked if he was canceled, Levi said:
“No. For coming out and voting for Trump? I mean, listen, I have yet to see what the ultimate effects of all that are gonna be. I already had multiple jobs that I was in the process of shooting or that I have yet to shoot, and none of those have been compromised. None of my producers or any of the studios behind those films or projects have called and said, ‘Hey listen this is a line too far, and we can’t have you associated with the project anymore.’ We’re all still full steam ahead on those.”
Levi came out in support of The Apprentice host Donald Trump in September, and has been a vocal critic of the COVID-19 vaccine – a common thread among those who never attended medical school and have access to YouTube. The An American Carol featured player faced backlash for an Instagram post where he claimed former She Loves Me co-star died from “turbo cancer” (no results on WebMD) as a result of the life-saving vaccine.
The Cancellation Myth in Hollywood
Hollywood is full of mythical creatures – The Four-Quadrant blockbuster hit, a financially viable streaming model, and the so-called cancellation. The myth of cancellation because of personal views began in the mid-2010s as a result of legitimate blacklisting because of heinous, often illegal behavior and the rise of the #MeToo movement. In an attempt to co-op victimhood, many lukewarm talents hitched their wagon to the reactionary right-wing grift-mobile as their mainstream audiences waned. By cloistering themselves in the conservative media-sphere, they simply traded in for a more niche audience – one that has more interest in owning the libs than in actual entertainment. And so there is still work to be had, but now it’s on smaller scale movies and combating the woke mind virus (also no results on WebMD).

Zachary Levi Really Thought He’d Be the Next Chris Evans Before His DC Flop
The actor, who recently endorsed Donald Trump for President, is coming off a string of box-office duds that have stalled his movie career.
Zachary Levi stated in another Instagram post, “There are plenty, and by the way, they’ve sent me lots of messages, plenty of people in my industry, in Hollywood, who are terrified to publicly say they would vote for Donald Trump or be conservative in any way. That’s why you don’t see them. That’s why they’re not very prevalent or prominent. They know there’s ramifications for this kind of s**t.”
Whether there are or aren’t ramifications is unclear based on the inconsistent accounts. Levi himself is currently filming an action movie called Hotel Tehran and wrapped two other projects this year.
